We are extremely grateful to a number of organisations who have supported the rebuild of our new village hall and in particular Phase 2.
Please see below details of those grants received and local business support.
We are also very delighted with our new Shutford Village Hall Logo! The design is inspired by the Bauhaus art movement (literally translates a 'construction house') that promoted ideas about building communities and celebrated the arts and crafts through a strong work ethic. Bauhaus designs were characterised by simplified forms and often primary colours. This design celebrates the new village hall as a multifunctional, democratic space that provides opportunities for people to come together. It also symbolises Shutford as a place of work past and present: From the makers of Plush and artisan metal workers, to artists and designers, people working in offices, trades and professions and those working in gardens and homes - although there isn't room to depict them all! Designed by Jane King from PaleBlueDot.
Thank you to all for your continued support.

The Big Lottery Fund is the largest funder of community activity in the UK. We put people in the lead to improve their lives and communities, often through small, local projects. It is responsible for giving out 40% of the money raised by National Lottery players for good causes. Every year it invests over £650 million and awards around 12,000 grants across the UK for health, education, environment and charitable purposes.
The money has been provided by the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment (TOE2) and Grundon Waste Management through the Landfill Communities Fund. Read more

The Foundation aims to be responsive to where need is greatest. We therefore support a wide range of charitable activity rather than having specific priorities for funding or regional bias. Our Trustees support excellence and, rather than predetermining where funds should be given, prefer to respond on a flexible basis to organisations that can show that they are addressing a need and that their work is high quality. We’ve offered grants of up to £5,000 for projects that will provide an on-going service for local communities, and many rural communities and projects off the mains gas grid have submitted projects for funding and then encouraged people to vote for them. The 10 projects in each category that received the most public votes were shortlisted as finalists and then reviewed by a panel of judges, who have now selected the 9 winning projects for funding. Shutford Village Hall was one of the projects to receive funding. Read more
