You can read about the village, its fame at the centre of the plush industry, and view photos, old and new, in our History pages.
Most people enter the village from one of the five roads that meet at the Shutford Five Turns (also known as Shutford Five Ways, depending on your perspective and how long you’ve lived in the village). These five roads all lead in different directions, so you really can go anywhere in the world from here. See how to find us, and find walks to explore our surrounding countryside on our Visit pages.
