Shutford festival Band Line Up 2020

Man the lifeboats

Picture
Man The Lifeboats were born in October 2016, their objective to play, raucous, upbeat folk music, to drag traditional folk tunes kicking and screaming into the 21st century, to craft songs with big choruses that tell stories. Songs with straight-up lyrics, pounding bass lines, lilting mandolin and fiddle melodies and stomping beats, Man The Lifeboats have cultivated a sound that would not be out of place at a party at the end of the world.

COLD BLUE DAZE

Picture
A four-piece rock and pop covers band, Cold Blue Daze are no strangers to the Oxfordshire music scene, having all played previously in local bands before joining forces in late 2017. United by a common interest in rock music, their personal music experience spans a range of genres, from metal to brass bands, via chart hits and the Rat Pack. Following the maxim of ‘something for everyone’, Cold Blue Daze keep their repertoire both fresh and interesting by adding their interpretation of more recent chart hits to well-known rock and pop classics from the last 60 years. Their goal is to get people dancing, or at the very least, tapping along to the beat.

Seven o'Clock Junkies

Picture
The Junkies play an eclectic mix of songs from the 1960's to the present day. Although a deep love of Lloyd Cole, Paul Simon and the Byrds is at the very heart of the band, the process of including new covers usually starts in the car on the way home from rehearsals. Or sometimes, inspired by the DJ choices after gigs, and finishes with rigorous collective band decision-making.
