Midsummer Fete 2026 update - thank you everyone!

This year's fete was a resounding success thanks to the efforts of all who helped to organise it, set up the field and clear away, all those who ran stalls, games and displays and of course, to everyone who donated items and who turned up on the day. We made a profit of just over £2,700 - which is fantastic for our little village and means we can donate £1,000 to the BYHP charity, and £1,000 to the maintenance of our village church, St. Martin's. The remainder will go towards next year's fete.

Shutford Village house names quiz No.1
This year, in the run up to the fete, as well as our annual Scarecrow competition (see details below), we are running a quiz based on Shutford house names. How observant are you as you walk around the village? Can you solve these clues to reveal the house names? Is your house included?
To enter the competition and win a prize on fete day, you need to answer as many clues as you can and you must enter your answers into the online form in this link: Shutford Village house names quiz No.1 by 9pm Thursday 18th June 2026.
Download and print out a Word doc copy or the pdf copy to work your answers out on, but hard copies will not be accepted as entry to the competition.
